Parents will react to the news you want to study abroad in different ways. Perhaps yours have been pushing you all along, but if you are like most students, you have to break it to them. Some will be so supportive that they want to come with you. Some will be ambivalent. Some will be concerned.
Here is a run down of the 5 programs that I think are the coolest I have seen in Study Abroad. They all make me just a touch jealous of students who get to take advantage of them.
International Education Week (Nov 17-21) means Study Abroad has session country and region info sessions on tap. Opportunities span the globe and these sessions will cover programs in 18+ countries.

UC Merced students can study at one of 38 universities in the top 100 worldwide through the UC Education Abroad Program. Only four UC campuses cracked the top 100 in 2014.
