Study Abroad Fair Week kicks off October 18!
A collaborative week showcasing the myriad global learning opportunities available to UC Merced students will include a variety of sessions to help you understand the necessity of global learning, unique opportunities, scholarships and financial access, the UC Education Abroad Program, and select UC Summer Abroad options.
UC Merced Study Abroad has curated a menu of global learning opportunities for Bobcats throughout the week. We continue to add individual events and details to join; check back frequently!

Exploring your Unique Identities Abroad & Away

In this session, we will explore how the many varied aspects of identity can impact your experience on a program in another culture, whether it is international or domestic. When preparing yourself to be immersed in another culture, it is important to consider all the different ways that you identify as an individual, recognizing how your unique identity might be perceived abroad and away. We will talk about how leaving your current cultural context can change how you experience your identity, how to navigate your transition to a new culture, and what resources you can use to prepare and set expectations for success.
