Arrange a Visit to the UC Merced Office of International Affairs
Make arrangements early
First—and most importantly—complete the Visit Request Form below as far in advance as possible to schedule a visit, and no fewer than two (2) weeks prior to your visit.
If you contact us at least fours weeks prior to your anticipated visit, we can include your information on our events calendar.
Contacting faculty & academic advisors
We ask visitors to identify those faculty and staff members whom they believe to be appropriate contacts for their programs. You may search through the UC Merced directory or faculty profiles. Upon request, the Office of International Affairs may offer suggestions. The Office of International Affairs cannot guarantee the availability of any particular academic advisor, faculty member, or administrator.
In advance of your visit, we ask that you notify the Office of International Affairs of those with whom you have scheduled to meet.
Tabling
Tabling is the most common activity for International Opportunities Program providers. Office of International Affairs policy dictates that study abroad providers table alongside Office of International Affairs peer advisors. Tabling options are subject to peer advisor staffing levels and sufficient advance notice.
Which days and times are best?
Meetings with Study Abroad staff
Meeting times with study abroad staff are usually early to mid-morning Monday-Friday, except Wednesdays when early morning is the only time available.
Tabling
The best time to have a table near or in the Kolligian Library Building will be mid-day, Tuesday-Thursday. Tabling times and dates are subject to the availability of Office of International Affairs peer advisors.
Info Sessions
The best days to have info sessions tend to be Monday-Thursday. Students tend to have more availability from late morning to mid-afternoon.

With enough advance notice and planning, we can offer the following advertising options:
- A room for a presentation, at no charge
- A table for outreach
- A listing on the Study Abroad events calendar
- A listing in the Study Abroad monthly email communication to interested UC Merced undergraduate students
- An announcement to students via the UC Merced Portal
Directions and parking
Check the campus map for the location of the Office of International Affairs in Kolligian Library, 101. We are located on the first floor of the west wing of the building.
Parking is limited at UC Merced. Parking instructions and rates for visitors are available online.
