Celebrate with nine research-focused programs. Education abroad goes beyond simply study; pursue research opportunities from robotics to protecting UNESCO world heritage sites to computer-aided surgery.
Additionally, there are $1,000 stipends for students who have conducted exceptional research while studying abroad as determined by the UC Education Abroad Program.
Research-Themed Programs Abroad
Conduct a research project with professors and graduate students in your field and build a portfolio for graduate school or the private sector. You'll take your skills, ideas, and perspectives to a new location abroad and learn new methods for developing and presenting your work. This is ideal for pursuing a research idea independently under the guidance of a mentor.

Here's a little more on the Undergraduate Research Awards: These awards recognize undergraduate students who have conducted exceptional research while studying abroad on UCEAP. Awards, consisting of a $1,000 stipend each, are offered annually in each of three disciplinary areas: the humanities, social sciences, and sciences and engineering.
