Excepted from "How Study Abroad Helped Me After Returning to UC Merced"
Where did I study?
I studied abroad in Rome, Italy for one semester in Fall of 2022 and I participated in the Sociology in Rome Program, for which I studied at an Accent Center in Rome.
"A highlight of my experience was the new cityscape I would come across everyday in Italy. Waking up was a joy because I knew I would discover beautiful new architecture and breathtaking paths to walk on."

Where I am Now
Working as a Peer Advisor in the Office of International Affairs has allowed me to continue my passion within the field of International Relations/Affairs. I have had the opportunity to network through a variety of outreach events and discuss my future goals with the office staff. Discussing my interests and passions with those who are like-minded has allowed me to get a sense of what I would like to do once I graduate from UC Merced. Studying abroad allowed me to unveil my hidden passions that only the experience could have brought to me. I am fortunate to say that I will be studying abroad once more this Fall, 2024, at the Yonsei University program in Korea. I look forward to the new adventures and opportunities I will partake in this time abroad.
