As a Study Abroad advisor living in the USA, I cannot visit Europe, as the USA does not have COVID-19 under sufficient control for European border control officials; however, US residents have a carved out exception for Study Abroad!
Of course, studying abroad is suspended for fall 2020 for the most part and we hope that the situation will stabilize and be safe enough for spring 2021 participation, but it is heartening to see that study abroad students are a carved out exception for entering Europe. It's still a long road ahead to return to safe participation in education abroad opportunities, but this is one positive indication for students as we head into an uncertain future.
