Parents

Dear Study Abroad Parent:

Since 1962, the University of California has been sending students abroad in the hopes of fostering academic growth and cross-cultural understanding. By deciding to participate in a study abroad program, your student has made the first step towards gaining a level of academic and personal enrichment that comes with the singular experience of living and studying abroad.

We would like to assure you of our commitment to preparing and supporting your student throughout the education abroad experience. We would also like to underscore the essential role that parental support plays throughout a student's education abroad experience–prior to departure, while abroad, and upon return to the United States. We encourage you to explore the links below to familiarize yourself with our study abroad resources and policies.
