The great thing about study abroad scholarships is that they count against unmet need and loans before they have any impact on grants and scholarships. You could use $750-5,000 in scholarship funding to offset your study abroad costs. Winter is scholarship application season for students leaving to study abroad in the summer or fall with applications due mid-Feb to mid-Mar. Every year, UC Merced students leave more than $250,000 on the table by never applying for study abroad scholarships.
